Jill works as a bartender in a pub. She started working there 4 years ago, and she really likes her job. Her pub is very relaxed, so she wears casual clothes to work. She works every night from Tuesday until Saturday. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the pub is very quiet, so she works alone. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the bar is busy, so she works with a barback, Mike. When the pub is very busy, Mike also works as a bartender.
Jill starts work at 6 p.m, and she spends her time serving and making drinks and using the till. When there are no customers to serve, she collects and washes glasses and cleans the tables. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, she is very busy, and only has time to serve drinks. On these days, she asks Mike for help, and he gets ice, brings bottles of spirits, cleans the bar and bar accessories, and does everything he can to help Jill.
When the bar closes, Jill cleans everything – the bar, the tables, the floor, the drip trays…When everything is clean, she goes home.
